Trustworthy Systems Lab Seminar
20 February 2025On 12th February 2025, Ulrike Engeln presented her talk ‘Executable Explanations of Control Software’ at the Trustworthy Systems Lab Seminar series at the University of Bristol. In her presentation, Engeln introduced the CAUSE approach, which enables cyber-physical system controllers to explain their behavior. The talk motivated the abstract explanation pattern introduced by CAUSE, illustrated the concept of explanations for control software (where explanations are executable networks of timed automata), and presented the first research results on online piecewise approximation of control outputs.
CAUSE Retreat 2025: A Successful Conclusion
17 January 2025We’re thrilled to announce that our three-day CAUSE Retreat has just wrapped up successfully! Researchers, collaborators, and invited experts gathered to share insights, attend workshops, and set new goals for joint publications. From hands-on demonstrator sessions to engaging group discussions and a memorable social event, everyone left inspired and ready to move forward.
