Explanations in a Virtual Prototype based Design Flow

Virtual Prototypes (VPs) are abstract models of the entire hardware platform. We envision to extend today’s VP based design flow for systems with self-explanation capabilities. For that, we analyze what information is required and its representation at the VP-level.
